How it works

FigureForge turns figurative language into detective work. Writers hide comparisons, exaggerations, and word-pictures in plain sentences — your job is to find them and name the move.

• Figure Detective — read a short case file, tap the figurative language hidden inside the passage, then choose which of the 13 devices it is. A hint unlocks after a first wrong tap, and every choice explains the move — so a wrong guess still teaches you.
• Device Guide — all 13 devices in one place, each with a plain-language definition and an example you can picture.
• Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from similes and metaphors up to advanced synthesis.
