How it works

SleuthLab teaches you to think like a forensic detective: notice carefully, test each clue, and follow only the evidence that actually points somewhere.

• Case Files — search the scene for clues, run each one through the lab to see whose sample it matches, then make your accusation. Some clues are dead ends — real detectives rule things out too.
• Fingerprint Lab — match a latent print to the right suspect card by its ridge pattern and its number of minutiae points. Pattern first, then count.
• Concept kits — 16 short question rounds on observation, evidence types, fingerprints, trace analysis, deduction, and building a case.

SleuthLab Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device — your progress, level, and streak are saved only in this browser.

Every case is fair

Each case has exactly one right answer, and the evidence proves it — nobody is ever "framed" by a lucky guess. Wrong tries never cost you anything: they get a gentle nudge toward comparing the clues more carefully. That's how careful reasoning is learned.
