About StageForge Play
How it works
StageForge is a theater studio you can run from a browser. You learn the craft by doing it — shaping a scene and directing the stage — not just reading about it.
- Scene Builder — a short scene arrives in scrambled order. Tap its beats into dramatic sequence — the calm opening, the moment that starts the trouble, the rising tension, the peak, and the ending. A hint unlocks after your first check, and the finished arc names each stage so you see the shape of every story.
- Director's Chair — the director gives a cue ("cross down left"), and you tap the spot on the stage map. You'll learn upstage and downstage, and the trick that trips up everyone: on a stage, "right" and "left" are the actor's, so they look flipped from the seats.
- Concept kits — 16 short question rounds across acting, playwriting, directing, stagecraft, and improv, from your first look at theater up to advanced synthesis.
Our privacy promise
StageForge Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device — your level and streak are saved only in this browser.
Nerves are part of it
Every actor gets butterflies, and every director rebuilds a scene that isn't working yet. A wrong tap costs you nothing here — it just points you to the right move for next time. That's how rehearsal works.
